Mainstream road roller product introduction
1)Vibratory rollers (mainstay in engineering projects)
● Working principle: The steel wheel has a built-in vibrator. The high-frequency vibration (30–60Hz) combined with its own weight causes the particles to rearrange and fill the gaps.
● Classification
○ Single-drum vibratory compactor: Front wheel vibrates, rear wheel driven, suitable for compacting subgrades, gravel, backfill, and other foundation materials.
○ Double-drum vibratory compactor: Both front and rear wheels vibrate, suitable for intermediate/final compaction of asphalt pavements, providing high smoothness.
○ Small vibratory compactor (1–3 tons): Hand-held/ride-on type, used in narrow areas such as ditches, sidewalks, and municipal corners.
2)Rubber-tired road rollers (the preferred choice for final compaction of asphalt).
● Working Principle: Multiple sets of wide-base pneumatic tires (3-5 sets) compact the asphalt using a combination of flexible kneading and vertical pressure, while also applying horizontal shear force.
● Features: Weight can be adjusted to increase or decrease, tire pressure can be adjusted, and ground contact pressure is uniform; no rigid compaction marks are left, preventing asphalt cracking.
● Applications: Final compaction of asphalt pavements, road sealing layers, plazas, parking lots, and other scenarios requiring high smoothness.
3)Static roller (smooth drum / static roller)
● Working principle: Applyes static pressure solely by its own weight (10–30 tons), without vibration or impact.
● Features: Creates a smooth, uniform compacted surface without disturbing the material structure; simple structure and low maintenance costs.
● Applications: Thin-layer asphalt, sidewalks, vibration-sensitive areas (such as above pipelines), and old road surface repair.
4)Impact rollers (clover rollers/triangular rollers, for deep compaction)
● Working Principle: A non-circular (three-sided/five-sided) impact wheel alternately impacts the ground as it rolls, converting potential energy into kinetic energy to generate a strong impact, with stress waves reaching a depth of 1–6 meters.
● Features: Towed operation, requiring a loader/tractor; large compaction depth, high efficiency, suitable for soft foundations and high embankments.
● Applications: Highway subgrades, airport runways, embankments, collapsible loess, and reinforcement of broken and fractured old roads.
5)Combined road roller
● Structure: Front steel wheel (vibration) + rear tire (compacting), balancing deep compaction and surface smoothing.
● Applications: Composite compaction of asphalt pavement, integrated construction of subgrade and surface layer.

General technical advantages
1)Improve project quality
● Significantly increase compaction (up to 95%–98%), reduce post-construction settlement, and enhance load-bearing capacity and durability.
● Reduce pavement cracking, rutting, loosening, and other defects, extending service life.
2)High construction efficiency
● Compared to manual labor/small machinery, efficiency is increased by 5–10 times, shortening the construction period.
● Large-scale machines can compact thousands of square meters per shift, suitable for large-scale infrastructure projects.
3)High construction efficiency
● Mainstream models are equipped with intelligent compaction monitoring: real-time display of compaction degree, number of passes, and temperature to prevent under-compression/over-compression.
● Fully hydraulic drive, imported core components, low failure rate, and strong continuous operation capability (>8 hours).
4)Environmental Protection and Safety
● Low noise and low vibration models are suitable for urban construction; the enclosed cab and shock-absorbing design improve the operating environment.
●Comprehensive safety systems, including braking, anti-skid, and anti-rollover mechanisms, reduce the risk of accidents.
